T. Barnum once said, "There's a sucker born every minute." I can't imagine how sexy it would be for a man to be pretending to be something he isn't. I prefer a man who is comfortable in his own skin and doesn't look for shortcomings just accepts himself for what he is. To me that is appealing much more so than some macho foolishness. As for fathers. Most of them had no real role model anyway. Men were taught not to discuss emotional subjects with their children. I think I would have dropped over dead if either of my parents started to discuss the pros and cons of a good relationship and what they did to turn each others crank. Yikes the thought it sends me running for the phone book to find a therapist. We learn about relationship by being in them.
