Some dude from yahoo answers had a cool question. Now, its obvious he hasnt taken my secret quiz, but ignore that, and focus on his question, and how I answer it.

Question: i really like this girl but im really shy and im afraid she might think im ugly or fat (200 pounds about 5′10) . what should i do?

Answer: What you wanna do is realize a few things first…

1) You’re not ugly, almost no one is
2) There are a ton of girls out there who are JUST like her, and who think you’re cute, you just need to meet/find them
3) She might or she might not be interested and a) Its a lot easier to ask a girl out if you know she’s interested and b) Its very easy to find out if she’s interested first

So, what you wanna do for now, as a shy guy is just focus on finding out if she’s interested. How do you do this? Just use most opportunities to occasionally throw glances her way every now and then. Just try to smile, or at least have a friendly face, and occassionally glance her way. If she glances back and smiles, you’re in.

In this case, communicate interest in her, back and forth, until you get the courage to go ask her out. And if you notice you don’t, no matter how much she invites you with her eyes, than go for an indirect route, tell a mutual friend that you’re interested in her. This is a lot easier than asking her out directly, and female friends of her are happy to set you two up.

However…

If she never glances back your way, or only by accident, she’s not into you, so go ahead, and find and befriend another 10 girls just like her… This will dissolve your shyness and get you out of it. Make it your goal to become a really, really good male friend to a lot of cool girls who are just like her, what you’ll find is your shyness will dissolve, and over time, at least a few of time will hit on you.
