Q: Hey, I heard there is some exercise out there about getting more comfortable approaching women, that has you going out and asking women to fuck you, right from hello… Like, “hi, wanna fuck?”. What’s that about? And there is also this myth going around saying that… if you ask this many women, one in this many will say yes. What’s all of that about?

A: Yeah, there was actually once a program on confidence that actually had you do that as the ultimate step of getting rid of what we call “approach anxiety” (being worried too much about what women will think or how they’ll respond if you approach them)… I think it’s been modified since, it no longer has that step.

As for the myth that goes around saying that one in 20 women will say yes to a “let’s fuck” approach… The reports vary all over the place. I personally know only 2 guys who’ve done it. One of them did it as a prank and didn’t expect it to work, but had the 8^th woman he asked say yes (or in this case, saying yes comes in the form of… she doesn’t immediately reject you), and yes they did have sex that day. But that might have been a lucky break. Another guy did it and asked I think some 40-80 women, and of course got nothing but “ohmigod!! Of course not! We don’t even know each other!”.

Now, reports vary from different people in different countries, from anywhere from 1 in 100, to 1 in 15… But it’s always a friend of a friend of a friend says kind of a thing. There is also the factor that we don’t know what kind of women they are referring to. Is this complete strangers or is it acquaintances… Is this at a party, a club or on the streets. I can venture that at a party organized by a friend the chances are at least 10 times higher than at a club, and than at a club the chance are 10 times higher than on the streets. Likewise asking acquaintances (friend of a friend you’re maybe seeing for the second time in your life, and you had only talked to them for 40 seconds when you met them), the odds are (believe it or not) at least 100 times higher than with a complete stranger.
